The Declaration of Dependance

jonathan-edwards-21As we celebrate Independence Day, July 4 with celebration and fireworks I wanted to share a work by Jonathan Edwards entitled God Glorified in Man’s Dependance – a work on the believer’s dependance.

Let us be humbly reminded that the Christian’s declaration is far from independence but dependance – dependance on Christ and Him alone – giving up self and resting on anything in ourselves and resting on everything that is Christ our Lord. Amen!
