The Prayer of the Damned
November 29th, 2008
The “sinners prayer” as it is so called by many is one that is unBiblical and sends many to hell. If someone is saved from reciting a prayer it is in spite of the prayer. May we return to full, Biblical gospel of repentance and faith and the outcome of a regenerated, transformed life that treasures Christ above all.
This video is excellent. May we examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith. (2 Corinthians 13:5)

Wow, this really hits home. I’ve never though so often about a subject as I have this one, false conversion and apathy within the walls of the church “buildings”. I believe the bride of Christ is alive and well, but I don’t think the professing church has ever been so filled with goats as it is today. A change is coming to the west, and we must be ready to boldly preach the gospel on street corners, and go to jail for doing so, or beaten or killed. I trust God has given us the strength to do so, but we must continually war against the sin that is in us.
Good post Jay, thank you. I have as of late been more broken over sin in my own life and coming to God for forgivness, than I ever have before, not that I’ve sinned more than I have in the past, but I believe He is working more in the hearts of His children. Preparing us for this present age. Hostility against Gods elect is rising, and we must stand boldly on the gospel that has saved us.
Gods grace and peace be with you Jay.
Hi Curtis. You are absolutely right. False conversion is a topic that hits home with me. I was a false convert for over 20 years of my life until God saved me by showing me my utter sinfulness through the Law and then His amazing grace through Christ Alone, Grace Alone and Faith Alone. I am now a new creature in Christ! All glory to God!
You’d probably be interest in an article I wrote several months ago on false conversions through “decisional evangelism” which is rampant in the church today. Here is a link:

Thankyou Jay, I had read that already, but it is always be reminded of such an important topic. Have you had opportunity to hear Paul Washer’s deeper message? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shxQcczYuAA
Talk to you again real soon.
