A Little Down Time

September 1st, 2008

I haven’t been posting as often on my blog as I normally do for a few reasons.  First, I started back classes at CIU and I’m taking Greek so needless to say my head has been in the books <grin>. (So please pray for me!!!)

Second, I’ve been battling a nasty cold/flu bug for over a week now and just haven’t had the energy to post.

I’ve also learned through this that I do tend to spend more time than I should on the internet - even browsing the Christian blogs and catching up on the latest heresy I’ve found takes away valuable time I could be spending in the Word and in prayer with my Lord.

To all us bloggers out there -  the blogosphere is an excellent ministry but don’t allow it to overshadow the sweet time in prayer and meditation of the Word.

Sorry to hear you have not been well. Hope it clears up soon.

I’ve not commented on your website before, so forgive me for just commenting without any intro.

You are right that we spend too much time surfing the internet. Time is valuable, and we need wisdom in how we use it.

God says in His word that He is a jealous God. When did that change?

We have to be so careful.

    God bless.

You are so right, I have many times found that I use the excuse that just because I’m reading Christian blogs or articles, therefore I’m not doing anything wrong. Oh how we love our sin, and how we are so quick to justify it. Thanks for this reminder, and I will pray that you get well and stay focused on your studies, but more importantly that you stay faithful to Christ and His word. God bless you, and hope to see you when He returns.

This is so apprpriate. I do thank you for your words of encouragement. We can forget who truly needs to speak to us and who we do need to listen to in order to keep our paths on the narrow road, with no ruts getting in the way.
