Examine Yourself
Paul Washer is right up there with my favorite pastor/theologians. He’s right there next to John MacArthur and John Piper. These men are passionate for the glory of God and the preaching of the true Gospel - not the easy believism and prosperity gospel that has infected the American church only to be exported to other countries.
Are you a Christian? Many people who claim to be point to some event in the past to substantiate their claim. But inviting Jesus to come into your life in the past is not proof that you are genuinely saved. In 2 Corinthians 13:5 Paul says to the Corinthian church,
“Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove yourselves.”
I was listening to Todd Freil from Way of the Master Radio a few days ago and they were spotlighting a YouTube video that someone put together from a Paul Washer sermon. The video is put to music and the message is oh so powerful and oh so true. How little do we hear these messages preached and taught in our churches today!
So here you go. Enjoy….

Here is an excellent link to John MacArthur’s Grace to You site where he expounds on this passage and how we should always be examining ourselves to see if we are in the faith.
